Shinin' + Stylin' in yellow #FashionFriday
When it comes to my personal style - I’ve never quite been able to categorize it in one specific manner. I remember a couple of years ago in my stylist interview at Free People they asked me to describe my style I said ...think of me like a gangsta’ hippie. I think that's probably the best way to describe it because I go from boho to bad bi*** in a matter of seconds. All in all - putting together outfits and styling myself to go out is very much therapeutic for me. Depending on my mood I’ll usually choose what color lipstick I want to wear before choosing the outfit. I sometimes let my lips or shoes dictate what I wear. Other times it’s a specific outfit that I bought that takes me on a different type of styling journey. Starting today, I decided that every Friday I’ll recap and show my favorite look of the previous week with #FashionFridays. Last week I got to attend an invite only pre-opening party for South Point in Port Covington. The place was amazing and I hope to be back soon but getting ready for this event I didn’t quite have an idea of what to wear. I knew I wanted to do red lipstick and I had a yellow blazer I had been wanting to wear - thus an outfit idea was born. Sometimes I draw inspiration from celebrities or fashion icons and this particular outfit was inspired by . *Cues music...cranes in the skyy...*For me, the best way to pair bright colors is with a contrast whether red lips or black shorts I loved this outfit because I felt both sexy and chic at the same damn time! (lol) My favorite style tip to do lately is accents of designer with fast fashion companies - it’s like the perfect combo in my opinion. Check out the pics below!
